The Office of Teaching and Learning coordinates a number of academic support facilities on the Lawton campus, many of them dedicated to offering help with specific content area courses that students often take as part of the general education curriculum. Office of Teaching and Learning Tutoring Facilities are free and open to all students.

CENTER FOR ACADEMIC SUCCESS

The Center for Academic Success offers tutoring and academic coaching to help students develop effective study strategies. Center staff can assist with reading assignments, test preparation, note-taking, time management, and other skills relevant to most academic subject areas.

CENTER FOR WRITERS

The Center for Writers offers tutoring for writing-related assignments at all levels, from developmental writing courses to Master’s thesis work. Center for Writers’ staff can assist with such concerns as English grammar and mechanics, clarity, choosing or narrowing a topic, and organizing writing assignments.
