School of Graduate and Professional Studies
Business
The Cameron University Department of Business is a department of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies and is accredited by ACBSP, a specialized accreditation association for business education that embraces teaching excellence.
The Department of Business offers education and experiences in a variety of business disciplines at the Associate, Bachelor and Master level. Programs are continually updated to ensure students are receiving cutting edge business knowledge to prepare them for successful careers in the business and entrepreneurial arenas.
Computing and Technology
The computing and the technology curricula are flexible and provide opportunities that are inter-disciplinary in nature, allowing students to customize the individual and professional experience with experiential learning components embedded throughout the curriculum. The curricula are easily adaptable to accommodate the fast-paced technological changes in our society.
Education
The Department houses undergraduate degree programs in Early Childhood Education (grades PK-3), Elementary Education (grades 1-8), and an add-on to these two degrees in the area of Special Education (grades PK-12). In addition, the department provides the professional education coursework required for education degree programs offered by other departments across campus: English Education (Department of English & Foreign Languages), Music Education (Department of Art, Music and Theatre Arts), and Social Studies Education (Department of Social Sciences). Elementary and Social Studies programs are also offered on the Rogers State University campus in Claremore, OK.
Psychology
The Department of Psychology offers coursework leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Child Studies, and a Master of Science in Behavioral Science with General Psychology, Counseling, and Marriage & Family tracks.
Sports and Exercise Science
Our undergraduate program offers a mixture of academic coursework and fieldwork opportunities that encompass the exercise science discipline. Emphasis of preparation includes placement of the student ‘early on’ within the real-world setting. To achieve this outcome, our commitment relies in the ability to collaborate with community-based businesses/school sites and surrounding institutions with the intent to build upon the student’s unique skillset throughout the degree program.
Social Sciences
We offer bachelor’s degree programs in Political Science, History, Criminal Justice, Sociology, and Social Studies Education, minors in Political Science, History, Geography, Pre-Law, Sociology, Criminal Justice, and the Humanities, and a broad array of required and elective general education courses. We serve more than 400 majors and well over one thousand students annually.

Agriculture, Biology and Health Sciences
The mission of Cameron University’s Department of Agriculture, Biology and Health Sciences is to provide high-quality instruction to students at the undergraduate level using a multi-disciplinary approach that emphasizes active learning, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
Art, Music and Theatre Arts
The Department of Art, Music, and Theatre Arts actively seeks to make the University a driving force in the cultural life and economic development of our community by producing art exhibitions, concerts, recitals, and theatre productions, to enrich the intellectual and cultural lives of our constituents. The disciplines of Art, Music, and Theatre Arts energize the cultural life of the Cameron Campus and surrounding communities. We believe in the power of aesthetics and in the unique talents of each student. We strive to inspire and guide artists, educators, musicians, actors, designers, and scholars to achieve success as well as to become citizens of the world.
Chemistry, Physics and Engineering
Come and explore the molecular frontier, the world of physical phenomena, and the insights into engineering constructs. Advances in technology rely on these three fields: Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering. If you have considered a career as a chemist, physicist, engineer, biochemist, research scientist, physician, dentist, pharmacist, optometrist, teacher, or entrepreneur, you have come to the right place. Many of our alumni are currently in these fields and are successful because of their experience at Cameron University. Our faculty members provide students a strong educational foundation and the ability to communicate and think critically and creatively. All of our students are concurrent, traditional, non-traditional, or transfer type students. We welcome them all.
Communication, English and Foreign Languages
We hope that you will take a close look at the exciting degree program and activities in the Department of Communication, English and Foreign Languages. Cameron offers two degrees within the Communication Department: Journalism and Media Production, and Communication with tracks in Communication Studies and Public Relations.
Mathematical Sciences
The department offers courses that will provide all students, both majors, and non-majors, with the knowledge and skills needed for life-long learning, as well as an appreciation for the beauty and power of mathematics. Mathematics majors will acquire a broad and solid base in mathematics, enabling them to continue their education in graduate school or to pursue careers in teaching, industry, or government.
Military Science
Partners with Cameron University and Fort Sill to recruit, educate, develop, and inspire Senior ROTC Cadets in order to commission officers of character for the Total Army who are critical thinkers and ready to lead in complex operating environments. Partners with 7 JROTC programs to develop citizens of character.

Interdisciplinary Studies
Interdisciplinary Studies degrees are designed to serve active duty military personnel and goal directed students whose educational needs are not met by one of the University's structured majors. A degree plan, consistent with the individual's stated goals, is personally designed for each student admitted to the program. This degree may or may not prepare a graduate for a particular occupation or entry into a graduate or professional school. Cameron University offers many concentrations that are available online – so depending upon the concentrations you elect, you may be able to complete your degree program entirely online. If you elect concentrations that are not available in the online format, you may complete the degree in the traditional face to face format, or in a combination of online and traditional courses, depending upon the courses you choose. Your advisor will assist you in making those decisions.
