Welcome to the Department of Communication, English, and Foreign Languages

We hope that you will take a close look at the exciting degree program and activities in the Department of Communication, English and Foreign Languages. Cameron offers two degrees within the Communication Department: Journalism and Media Production, and Communication with tracks in Communication Studies and Public Relations.

If you're looking to major in communication and focus your studies on journalism or radio/television, check out our new www.aggiecentral.com website which offers you the online version of our campus newspaper The Cameron Collegian and our weekly television productions of CUTV. The website will give you an idea of the calibre of our journalism and broadcast programs, as we are building a convergent journalism program.

Speech Communication and Public Relations/Organizational Communication students have excellent opportunities to network with corporations and professionals in the region. All of the communication students are encouraged to participate in internships as well as presenting scholarly papers at conferences.

Students also have the opportunity to participate with Cameron's Speech and Debate Team. The program has had a long history of excellence and awards. During the summer term, we offer a Speech-Debate Camp for junior and senior high school students.
