Scholarships & Financial Assistance

The Financial Assistance Office has a booklet of scholarships available to students. New and updated applications are normally placed in the booklet in January.

Academic Schools have a limited number of scholarships for students who have demonstrated success or high potential in individual studies. The award amounts and criteria varies, but are usually restricted to students majoring in a particular academic discipline. If you are interested in a departmental scholarship, contact the appropriate academic school.

Vocational Rehabilitation Office offers tuition and book scholarships to students with disabilities.

Workshops

Throughout the fall and spring semesters, Student Support Services offers a variety of free workshops designed to enhance personal, academic, and life skills. Workshops are presented by SSS staff members, lab faculty, special guests, and current and former SSS students.

Previous workshops include:

  • Microsoft Word 2010
  • Study Skills
  • How To Succeed in Math
  • How To Use the Graphing Calculator
  • Money Management
  • Paragraph Development
  • Computer and Technology Shopping
  • Scientific Measurements
  • Benefits of Tutoring
  • Financial Literacy
  • And the list goes on!

At the conclusion of each workshop, students are asked to anonymously fill out an evaluation of the workshop and facilitator.
