CHECK IN DATES AND TIMES
August 14th First Year Students and New Residents
Please note your check in time is by student last name:
- A-F: check-in between 9:00am-11:00am
- G-M: check-in between 11:00am-1:00pm
- N-Z: check-in between 1:00pm-4:00pm
August 15th Returning Residents
Please note your check in time is by student last name:
- A-F: check-in between 9:00am-11:00am
- G-M: check-in between 11:00am-1:00pm
- N-Z: check-in between 1:00pm-4:00pm
CHECK IN AND PARKING LOCATIONS
Cameron Village
If you will be living in Cameron Village please go to the McMahon Learning Center in Cameron Village. Please enter the McMahon Learning Center using the main West side doors. The check in process will be in the McMahon Learning Center great room. We expect for only students to enter the great room to allow for physical distancing. You may park in the lot to the East or to the North of Cameron Village.
North Shepler and South Shepler
If you will be living in North Shepler or South Shepler please go to the Shepler Center (mezzanine) when you arrive on campus. You may enter the Shepler Center using the main doors for either North Shepler, South Shepler, or the East side Shepler Center doors. The check in process will be in the Shepler ballroom. We expect for only students to enter the ballroom to allow for physical distancing. To access the ballroom includes climbing stairs. If you have any mobility issues please contact the Office of Student Housing in advance and we will coordinate with you. You may park in the lot to the West or to the South of Shepler.
A limited number of carts will be available for the move in process.
CHECK IN FORMS
During the check in process you will receive a packet of paperwork and keys in addition you will be granted card access to your designated building/room. Please have your Cameron University ID ready for the check in process. After checking in you will then go to your room to complete the paperwork including your room condition form and the forms listed below. You must return your check in paperwork by 4:00pm on your move in day.

- 2020-2021 Student Housing Contract
- 2020-2021 Meal Plan Agreement
- Student Housing Parking Permit
- Certification of Meningitis Compliance
- Missing Person Contract
You may email these completed forms to us at: housing@cameron.edu before your move in day. This will help decrease the number of forms for you to complete during the check in process.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Face Covering Requirement
Anyone entering any Cameron University facility including Student Housing facilities is required to properly wear a face covering. For the move in process everyone must provide their own face covering. The only indoor space in Student Housing during move in a face covering is not required is inside individual student rooms.
Family/Supporter Entry
To decrease the amount of people inside Student Housing facilities during the move-in process each resident is limited to a maximum of two (other) individuals at any one time. This includes family members, friends, and any other supporters.
Our check in process has been designed with physical distancing and other measures to decrease density in Student Housing facilities. Hand sanitizer will be available and enhanced cleaning protocols are in place. North Shepler and South Shepler elevators will require the resident to swipe their Cameron University ID to access their floor during move in.
All students should closely monitor their Cameron University email account for any additional details and any adjustments for Fall 2020 move in.
