• Attend Cameron University on a F-1 student visa
• Must be pursuing a degree from the Department of Business
• Priority is given to incoming freshmen
• Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 each semester

NON-RESIDENT TUITION WAIVER

The Cameron University Non-Resident Tuition Waiver will pay the out-of-state tuition portion of the recipient’s tuition bill. The student is responsible for in-state tuition and all fees.

Undergraduate

Eligibility Criteria:

1. First-time full-time freshman students whose permanent residence is outside of Oklahoma (one of the following must be met):
1. a. Achieve an unweighted high school grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher.
1. High schools outside of the United States will need to be evaluated by World Education Services (WES) to determine an equivalent GPA (the WES Basic option is acceptable), Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE), or SpanTran Pathways .
2. Achieve an ACT composite score of 24 or higher, or equivalent SAT composite math and critical reading score of:
1. 1090 or higher if taken prior to March 2016
2. 1160 or higher if taken after March 2016
2. Transfer students:
1. Completed at least 30 college-level credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university (with at least 24 credit hours at college level) and achieve a 3.0 retention GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale) at the time of transfer.

Undergraduate students who are offered and accept the non-resident tuition waiver must maintain the following academic performance standard to remain eligible to receive the non-resident tuition waiver:

1. The student must enroll full-time and complete 30 credit hours each academic year.
2. The student must maintain a retention grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher
3. If the student's retention GPA falls below 2.5, the Non-Resident Tuition Waiver will be revoked and will not be reinstated

Graduate

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Graduate students whose permanent residence is outside the state of Oklahoma must have a 3.0 or higher undergraduate cumulative GPA from a regionally accredited university to qualify to receive the Nonresident Tuition Waiver Scholarship.

Graduate students who are offered and accept the non-resident tuition waiver must maintain the following academic performance standard to remain eligible to receive the non-resident tuition waiver:

1. The student must enroll in at least 9 credit hours each fall and spring semester (if attending the summer semester, student must enroll in 6 hours).
2. The student must maintain a retention grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher
3. If the student's retention GPA falls below 3.0, the Non-Resident Tuition Waiver will be revoked and will not be reinstated.

Additional Information

All foreign college or university transcripts require an evaluation by an approved credential evaluation service. The services that are recognized by CU are WES (www.wes.org) or Educational Credential Evaluators (www.ece.org). The student will be responsible for paying for this service and should contact the evaluation service directly to have their transcripts evaluated. Evaluations must be a course by course evaluation with upper division course identification, and grade point average equivalent.
