Health Insurance and Immunizations
As of August 7, 2016, each student has the responsibility to set up his/her own insurance. You have a choice in the insurance you buy and this will likely save you money. Cameron University employees are not permitted to provide students with advice regarding the selection or purchase of individual health insurance. Health insurance provider information is provided as a courtesy and such provision in no way constitutes an endorsement or sanction of services provided by any insurance company.

Oklahoma Statutes, Title 70 §3244, requires that all students who enroll as a full-time or part-time student in an Oklahoma public or private post-secondary institution provide documentation of vaccinations against Hepatitis B (three doses) and measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR – two doses). The series of Hepatitis B takes six months to complete. After the first immunization, it is required to wait one month before taking the second. You must wait another five months before taking the final one. The MMR immunization is given one month apart.
Cameron University requires international students to provide evidence of having been tested for Tuberculosis. TB testing should be done within the 6 months prior to entrance or immediately upon entrance to Cameron University. QuantiFERON Gold TB Test is the only acceptable test.
