Admissions

AY 2018-2019 Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Data from processed applications submitted to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education will be accurate.
  2. Students will be satisfied with the service provided by Admissions personnel
  3. Students who have been admitted on transfer probation will understand the necessary requirements to achieve good academic standing.
  4. High School Counselors will be satisfied with services received from Cameron University

Aggie Rec Center

AY 2018-2019 Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Individuals will develop skills that are part of a healthy lifestyle.
  2. Individuals using the Aggie Rec Center will have a positive experience in a safe and friendly environment.
  3. Individuals will be aware of the benefits of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.
  4. Individuals will increase their connection to others through use of the facilities.
  5. Students, faculty, staff, and community members will utilize the Aggie Rec Center.

Campus Life

AY 2018-2019 Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Students who participate in Office of Campus Life programs will connect to Cameron University.
  2. Students who participate in Greek Life will develop a commitment to social excellence.
  3. Student who participate in student government will understand the importance of shared governance.
  4. Students who hold leadership roles in Campus Life-supported organizations and activities will develop leadership skills.
  5.  Students who participate in community service will understand the importance of volunteering in the community and the diverse makeup of the community.

Career Services

AY 2018-2019 Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Students who participate in a career assessment inventory will decide on a few career choices or academic majors.
  2. Students and alumni who have registered with the online job search service will use the system to view jobs.
  3. Students and alumni who register with Optimal Resume, the online resume writing tool offered through Career Services, will create a resume, cover letter, website, or virtual interview using the site.
  4. Students will prepare a professional resume appropriate for their career field.
  5. Students will be satisfied overall with their visit to Career Services.
  6. Students will increase their knowledge of Career Services topics.

Financial Assistance

  1. Increase communication to educate prospective students, current students, parents and alumni.
  2. Strive to provide comprehensive customer service.

Open Doors

AY 2018-2019 Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Open Doors', low-income eighth through tenth grade students will submit an Oklahoma's Promise application package.
  2. Ninth grade Open Doors participants will maintain at least a 2.75 average GPA each year.
  3. Open Doors participants will learn more about different careers and what careers are best for them.
  4. Open Doors' seniors enrolling in Cameron University the fall semester following high school graduation will persist to the subsequent fall semester.
  5. Open Doors program alums will complete a post-secondary program within six years of graduating from high school.

Student Development

AY 2018-2019 Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Participants who take part in a Disability Awareness Event are more informed about disability services and resources available on campus and in the community.
  2. Participants who attend a CU Succeed workshop will indicate an increase in their knowledge as a result of attending.
  3. Participants in suicide prevention training will indicate an increase in their knowledge of the warning signs of suicide.
  4. Students who receive a sanction for violating the Code of Student Conduct through the Office of Student Development will not receive another sanction for a Code violation through the Office of Student Development during the same academic year.
  5. Students who take part in Inclusion programming will increase their knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion.
  6. Cameron University students will frequently take part in interacting with peers who are of different racial or ethnic backgrounds.

Student Housing

AY 2018-2019 Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Residents will participate in programs sponsored by Student Housing.
  2. Residents will feel safe in all housing facilities.
  3. Residents who are required to go through the judicial process will modify their behavior in a positive way based on feedback from any judicial sanctions provided by Student Housing staff.
  4. Residents will be satisfied with housing facilities.
  5. Students will choose to live on campus.
  6. Two floors (one male and one female) are reserved as an option for our first time freshmen to live on. Freshman residents who live on these floors for at least the fall semester will enroll at Cameron during the following fall semester.
  7. Students will be satisfied with programs offered through student housing.
  8. Students will understand the material presented in educational programs.
  9. Residents who live on the freshman floor will return to campus housing the following fall.

Upward Bound

AY 2018-2019 Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Students who are selected to participate in Upward Bound will score at least 40 on the following preferred characteristics: 1) GPA as desired by the Upward Bound program 2) a moderate number of extra-curricular activities 3) demonstrate a desire and the ability to succeed in high school 4) meet income requirements and/or meet first generation requirements (parents have not graduated from college) 5) have a career interest requiring a college degree
  2. Upward Bound parents who participate in parent meetings will report a better understanding of how to assist their child in transitioning to and succeeding in their collegiate educational efforts by scoring workshops with a grade of "A" or "B".
  3. Upward Bound seniors enrolling in college the fall semester following high school graduation will persist to the subsequent fall semester.
  4. Students who participate in Upward Bound will complete either an associate's or bachelor's degree within six years of graduating from high school.
  5. Cameron University Upward Bound students who participate in the summer program will show improvement in their mathematics skills.
  6. Cameron University Upward Bound students will show improvement in their English skills.

Veteran Affairs

AY 2018-2019 Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Constituents will be satisfied with the service provided by the Cameron University Veterans Affairs Office personnel.
  2. Eligible students will initiate their VA benefits each semester.
  3. Eligible students will meet with the "VetSuccess on Campus" counselor.

Wellness Center

AY 2018-2019 Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Students who participate in counseling will demonstrate improvement in their symptoms at the end of treatment.
  2. Students who participate in counseling will be satisfied with the services they are provided.
  3. Students who receive medical services will be satisfied with the services provided.
