Student Office Assistant – Military Science

JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties include, but not limited to: answering phone calls in a clear, professional manner, taking messages, filing, photocopying, faxing, assisting with large mailings, on-campus deliveries for all staff, maintaining snack and drink supplies, assisting with events, greet and direct community to appropriate department, and other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should be proficient with Microsoft Office products, possess excellent computer skills; have good oral and written communication skills; organizational skills; the ability to multi task; ability to pick up information quickly; work flexible hours; maintain professional conduct; detail oriented; punctual; and highly organized. The student must be proficient in written and spoken English. Also, applicant must be able to adhere to a strict policy of confidentiality. The successful candidate must be punctual, reliable, and maintain a positive attitude, while working in a team oriented environment. This position will be available beginning in August 2020 and will continue into Summer 2021 so student must be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours during the summer and 6 credit hours in the fall (12 credit hours if international). It will be a 10-15 hour work week for Fall, Spring and Summer.

REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS (SUBJECT TO REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION)

  • Standing/Walking: Moderate; activity exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
  • Strength (Lift/Carry/Push/Pull): Light (Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally)
