Language Learning Center Tutor - CEFL


Job Description

Applicants must be dependable, courteous, professional, and team-oriented student who can tutor in SPANISH, FRENCH, GERMAN, or RUSSIAN. Applicants MUST have at least 6-hours on their transcript in the language they wish to tutor. Duties will include but are not limited to data entry, inventory, cleaning work areas, handing out study aids and materials, maintaining the lab and resources facilities, aiding students with language and computer questions, aiding faculty with resources requests. Applicants will also be asked to assisting in bulk mailings, copying, filing, shredding, assisting with various projects, posting information around campus, greeting visitors to the office, answering phone calls, and other related duties as assigned.

Applicant must be able to work during the lunch hour!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must be punctual, dependable and possess a positive attitude. Applicants must have completed Composition I and II and have a 3.0 or above GPA. Applicants should have good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and have good oral and written communication skills. Applicants should be able to focus and pay close attention to detail while completing tasks. Applicants should be able to file alphabetically and chronologically. Applicants must be able to answer phone in a clear, professional and courteous manner and adhere to strict policy of confidentiality. Applicant must be able to work well with patrons from diverse backgrounds.

There will be an additional “Skills Assessment Test” consisting of 21 questions that must be completed in the CEFL Office for the job application to be considered complete.
